Halloween In Berlin - Trick-Or-Treat!
Today is Halloween - a great time to explore the neighboorhood with your kids and help them to get some free candy from your neighbors!
Trick-or-treating is a new custom for children and adults in Germany. On October 31st, children in costumes go through their neighboorhood, asking for treats with the phrase "trick or treat". Many people participate and hand out candy, fresh fruit or little toys. This "new" custom especially took off in recent years and many people now know to prepare some treats for the kids. But since it has not been a long German tradition do not be too dissappointed if some doors stay closed.
We wish everybody who is participating a lot of fun and a lot of funny scarry encounters with other candy hunting monsters!
